Children’s Yoga

The children’s classes taught at Moksha Wellness Yoga are for children aged 3 years and older. The classes will introduce your little ones to yoga in a simple, structured, and uniquely effective program that helps kids calm themselves and feel happy. Your child will learn the basic postures and concepts of yoga in a fun and supportive environment.

It is a joy to see the children develop balance, flexibility and emotional awareness with each class, enhancing their mind-body connection. 

I also offer yoga classes aimed at children with learning differences or with Autism Spectrum Disorders such as ADHD and Asperger’s. Yoga is a discipline that encourages total personal development, encompassing physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social growth for children and adults alike. Combining the power of movement, breath, and body awareness that is the core of a physical Yoga practice, a Yoga-based intervention along with mental health counseling would seem intuitively effective for children with learning differences or Autism Spectrum Disorders. 

My classes involve playful and imaginative exercises, Asanas (poses), relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to help calm the mind and body. Each class is approximately 30-45 minutes long, depending on the age and needs of the child. Children’s Yoga classes are taught at select private schools and offered as one to one or small group private sessions.
